Getting into Stranger Cars
2006 - 2007
92 inkjet prints in black vinyl hard covered book with metallic end papers (selection of pages above)

A congealing bowl of mily cereal sits perched on the passenger seat, I think it’s so gross- but then I think- I’ve done that. The zoom lense collects all the banal detritus of journeys- an array of small comforts;  a leftover apple core nestled beside a gear stick, crystals and stuffed toys adorning interiors. Within the images, car interiors become time capsules preserving the acitivities of non-present passengers, illuminating the rituals and conveniences of this quasi-intimate space.
